Hello people,
I am implementing the Feature NetBackup for SQL, using the NBU 7.6.0.4. SQL host is a SQL 2008 and is not in a cluster. Can perform backups by client installed on the host and by the NBU console (type MS-SQL-SERVER policy). However, I can perform restores only the installed client.
Created two shedules: Automatic Backup and Backup Aplication. I walked researching and saw that it is not possible to perform a restore of an image, taken by Application Backup schedule, directly from the NBU console. When I try to do a restore, the NBU console get a socket 25, me resulting in the error 2809.
I can do a restore of the whole database, the NBU client installed on SQL Host.
I just need to create a restore of a database to another location, just for validation by the DBA team.

Correct.
SQL restore can only be done from the machine where you want to restore to.
If destination is different from source, we call it 'redirected restore'.
Read through 'Redirecting a SQL restore to a different host ' in NetBackup for Microsoft SQL Server Administrator's Guide
