Restore VM with selected VMDK files?

Hi

I have VADP backup, NetBackup 7.5.0.6, VMware vSphrere 5.0. I perform a backup of all VMDK files. I am not using "Exclude Data Disks".

Can I restore a VM with seletec VMDK files? For example restore only a boot disk without data disks? I do not want to create a separate policy with "Exclude Data Disks" option.

no,

you can not select specific VMDK disk for restore. will not have option of that.. by default it will select all disks when you select the VM for restore.

but you can try restoring the each VMDK to sperate Datastore where you can point all unrequired VMDK to another data store and clean it off.
