Normal client with disk failure?
System (O/S) disk or data disk?
Here is a link to NBU 6.5 Troubleshooting Guide:

As Marianne asked, Do you want to recover OS disk?
Does your backup contain OS backup as well?
In that case checkout NBU Bare Metal Restore option that enables recovery of client machine in case of disaster. But for that your backup policy must be enabled to take BMR configuration. Was BMR enabled?

hi, if you did not configure Bare Metal Restore, you will have to follow the following steps ;

1. install Solaris on a HDD
2. install the Netbackup client + MP
3. boot from that HDD
4. manually recreate the partitions on the HDD where you want to restore the backup. + create file systems offcourse
5. mount the file systems to temporary names
6. restore
7. make sure that your /etc/vfstab entries are ok
8. install bootblock
9. reboot

good luck
