Restore failed with 25 for windows 2008 client

Hi All,

We are facing the resoration issue at our site.

issue details and other details as follows:

Restoration source nd destination server :- windows 2008 SP2

Restoration error :-

03/07/2012 09:37:33 - Error bpbrm (pid=197620) Couldn't open
/usr/openv/netbackup/.rename.197620 on client HBCOSMOSPRDAPP, status: 1
03/07/2012 09:37:34 - Error bpbrm (pid=197620) could not disconnect from
bpcd on HBCOSMOSPRDAPP
03/07/2012 09:37:34 - Error bpbrm (pid=197620) cannot put rename file on
HBCOSMOSPRDAPP

Master Server :- Solaris 10

Windows firewall is off.

Kindly suggest ... thanks in advance.

Could you please set up the following folders on the client, try the restore again and post the resulting logs:

<install_path>\veritas\netbackup\logs\bpcd\

<install_path>\veritas\netbackup\logs\tar\

In addition to above-mentioned logs, please also check if <install-path>\veritas\netbackup\logs\ALTPATH folder exists on the client.

Is the destination client a new or existing client? Are normal backups working for this client?

Can you tell us more detail?

• Version and patch of NetBackup
• What type of data are you restoring? What policy type did it taken with?
• How did you start restore? BAR GUI or bprestore command? On which host did you do that?

Thanks to all for your reply with Solution.

I checked all the things which you mention in your reply and all thing are in there place but still issue present for restoration .I also make a changes in registry but no gain from this.

After i decided to re-install and it is resolved.
