Backup via SAN mode succeeds.

Seen that the restore is using SAN transport, know that the default mount of datastores on backup hosts often is read-only.

The solution is either to remount the datastore for the restore read-write or restore over the network.

The standard questions: Have you checked: 1) What has changed. 2) The manual 3) If there are any tech notes or VOX posts regarding the issue

Hi  Michael,

Thanks for the quick reply.
I will ask the storage provider if there is a read/readwrite link to the datastore.

Hello,

that is rather on OS level. In Windows Disk Management, the disks corresponding to VM datastores should be Online (Offline is enough for backups only).
