Restore files and folders without permissions

Hello,

I've asked by the Unix admins to restore requested client files and folders to alternate locations without the permissions as when backed up.  User accounts are being migrated to new share locations that have a new permission scheme.

We have NBU 7.5.06 on a Redhat Master restoring to all versions of Windows and Unix clients. The only choice I've seen is in the Restore GUI where Windows files/folders can be restored without Access Control Attributes (the GUI checkbox - see attached snapshot).  For Unix restores that option is always greyed out.

Is there a method to restore Windows and Unix files without their permissions ?

Thanks

No such option for Unix/Linux.

Files and folders will be restored with original UID and GID.

If the IDs are different, you will have to do chown and chgrp on files/folders.
