Restore from Oracle Intelligent Backup

Dear All , 

   Please I'm trying to connect using the Backup / Archive GUI from the database client to access the backed up list 
It asks for credentials which when I use the same credentials it gives me error

unable to connect to the service name

Eventhough I used the same credentials the same users which haveSYSDBA previlige

Please , can any help ?

The error is about the Oracle Listener. Check with dba that the listener is up and running.

Or let dba use good old rman....

Thanks a lot for your answers 

I will check with the dba to use the old rman 

however at the same time I will continue try to troubleshoot this problem 
Hopefully I will be able to fix it

The database wasn't online when I tried to login to it

the DBA should have been opened and mounted for the netbackup to be able to login to using the sys user
