Restore of Exchange 2010, EDB turns out really small

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to restore an Exchange 2010 Database, we've created a Recovery Database to mount it in, and the restore from Netbackup 7.0 seems succesfull, the Database file should be about 100gb, but after the restore the edb file is a measly 8mb and it doesn't seem to containd anything, what could be causing that? Could it be because instead of backing up from the DAG these databases have been backupped in the same way you would back up a Exchange 2007 server?

Apologies for not responding to your post.

The problem is that we don't know anything about your backups or the steps that you have taken to restore,

Are you 100% sure backups were successful?
Status 1 is a failure when databases or application extentions are used.

As far as restore to Recovery Database is concerned - there are different steps to be followed for each Exchange version.
Have you checked NBU and Microsoft documentation to ensure correct steps are followed?
