"allocate block size" is the normal notification  you seen in Vcenter when you do the restore of Full VM. does not needs to bother about this..

so you can let the SAN restore compleate..

for NDB restore

does backup host able to communicate with the port 902 of the ESXI host?

does it ever worked?

Please check if port 902 used by NBD transport is not blocked by firewall. If blocked, restore via NBD fails.

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH159577

If not blocked, enable VxMS logging and reproduce this issue. Some relevant technotes here.

BTW, please tell us more about your environment like version of NetBackup/VMware/OS.  "allocate block size" logging is normal behavior in SAN transport, don't worry about it.just keep running.

i did the restorarion by san method , and it was suscessfully but the machine don´t start,

its know issue ..

when you do the restore through SAN does the storage LUNs in the backup host are in Online or offline

the LUNs in the backup hosts should be online to let the restore successfull.

when the LUNs are offline though the netbackup reports as successfull its not a successfull Restore.
