Restoring Files with out overwriting new versions

I'm restoring files from a point in time on a share, say 03/11/2015. I need to overwrite these files with the backups. I'm using the option to "Overwrite existing files". Is there an option to not overwrite files with newer timestamp on them , meaning if a  user changed the file between the time of the backup and restore, do not overwrite?

Thanks

Pat

Rather specify a different location to restore to. Easiest and safest.

Overwrite existing files not selecting at the time of Restore will not overwrite the file if they are arelady exist.

however it will not overwrite the files if the time stamp is earlier to backup also.. i think that is not your requirement..

lets see if someone comeup with some other ideas..

Windows or Unix? I believe Teracopy for Windows has the option not to copy older files over the top of newer files. Therefore restore the contents elsewhere then use a copier like that?
