Root file system restore on Netbackup Master server

Is there anyway to restore root file system if Master Media server crashes ? The OS is solaris 2.6 and I have Netbackup 4.5 Datacenter as Master media server. All others are clients.

Your best bet would be to use BareMetal Restore. But if you dont have that you will need to have an OS installed or(jump Start) valid network and your Master/Media server software and then do a restore of the data from tape.Message was edited by:

I have actually done this.
I restored " / " to "/root"
changed mountpoints and rebooted.
worked fine.
