How many simultaneous jobs did you see in Activity Monitor?
Have all the backups completed successfully?
What is the 'Client Read Timeout' value on the Media Server used for this client's backup?
If there is an excessive value on the media server, then these nbostpxy processes will keep running on the client until the timeout on the media server has expired.

Since NetBackup 7.5.x nbostpxy process on the client is started by way of a bpbrm call to bpcd.
Bpbrm (on the media server) passes the client read timeout in minutes as the value to the -exit flag.
