SAN SWITCH REPLACED IN OUR SETUP AFTER THAT SAN CLIENT STOPED WORKING

Dear Frineds,

I would like to discuss about SAN client issue which i am facing after SAN switch replacment in our Infrastructure

FC cable  was disconcted from FT media server and old SAN switch , and FT media server connected with New SAN switch after that tape device started showing in NO HARDWARE mode on san client , and still we have another FT media server at same location coneted with old switch and same san client that is working fine .

Infrastructure Deatils are below please Assist .

Master Server OS :- Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise 

Netbackup Veriosn :- 7.6.0.4 , In VCS 

FT media server O.S:- Red Hat Linux 

Netbackup :- 7.5.0.5

SAN Client O.S:- HP-UX 

Netbackup :- 7.5.0.5

Note:- We are already in process to Upgarde from 7.6.0.4 to 7.7.3 very Soon .  :)

Hey, please check with your SAN team if the zones were moved to the new SAN switch. Also I would run device rescan on OS level on this FT server - to refresh the underlying HW (if proper zones are in place). Depending what FC HBAs you do use I would its software (ie sansurfer for emulex) to check what this HBA do see... Further steps depends on the above outcomes...
