SAP DB individual file restore

Hi Friends,

We have master server with NBU ver:7.7.1 with windows 2012 r2 standard OS.

We area taking SAP Backup through BR Tools using the script files.

But now our requirement is to restore an individual file from the ailable backup image(which we have taken backup using BR tools to a TAPE).

Can we restore Full/individual files using Netbackup of an image using BRTools image.

And if I understand your qustion right, you are asking if Netbackup can fullfill a request like this:

brrestore -b last -m /oracle/C11/sapdata2/ddicd_5/ddicd.data5

And yes, Netbackup can restore anything SAP Brrtools can ask for.

No. You cannot restore SAP data from the master server.

brtools was used on the client to perform the backup.
brtools must be used on the client to perform the restore.

All databases - Exchange excepted - must be restored from the client side. 

As Marianne also pointed out, you must use brrestore to restore SAP data.
