That is a requirement for SQL backups on VMware
( setting logon account on both NetBackup Client Service and NetBackup Legacy Network Service )

Hi,
In this same condition I have facing once issue,
R0051I BRBACKUP 7.20 (31)
BR1419E Empty password has been entered
BR0056I End of database backup: benubyus.log 2014-05-05 18.30.50
On the same server have configured SAP Online/redo log/ offline backup.
Whenever I tried to take backup SAP online and redo log it is happening successfully completed.
But SAP offline backup failed with above mention servers.
Please let any one solution to can understand what is wrong with configuration.

From your description, it sounds like permission to close down the SAP installation/components is the problem.
Have experienced in the that a SAP offline backup didn't because som of the application servers was still connrected to the database.
Does the stderr file under bphdb contain any information about a failed/rejected shutdown of the database ?
Can you SAP administrator see anything in the SAP logs ?

So hot /online/redo works but cold/offline doesnt. So maybe the role cant shut down the db, or it tries and fails with a timeout perhaps. Just need to see the logs and some input from sap sysads.
