So, which of those drives do you believe do not exist?

And how does the OS and NBU see this non-existing drive?
(Understand that NBU needs a device path at OS-level to see and use a drive)

Can you show us device config on the master and all media servers?

Show us output of  ' tpconfig -l '  on master (if also a media server) and all media servers.

Hi,

Can you also show uss the out put of scan command from a media server which is able to access this drive.

BVshet is 100% correct - firstly find the results of the scan command, what drives are seen at OS level (which is what scan reports).  Do you see the correct number of drives or not ?

When you believe you have drives 'missing' - what NBU reports as configured is 100% irrelevant.  For example, I have a standalone tape drive on my test server under my desk.  tpconfig -d reports what NBU has configured, which is of course, one tape drive.  If I power the drive off, it is then missing from the OS, scan/ tpautoconf will not show the drive, as it is unable to respond.  However, tpconfig -d will still show the drive - because the drive is still configured in NBU.  It won't respond, but it is still configured.
