SLP change retention level

Hello everyone,

I need to change the retention level of SLP, I use this command:

 

nbstl SLP1 -modify_version -version 1 -rl retention_level_1 13 ,_NA_.

 

But I have an error, someone can help me to find the solution?

Hi,

 

The syntax depends on your actual SLP configuration. If you have 2 (backup and duplicate) operations it would need to look like this if you wanted to set the retention level to (2 weeks for backup, and 3 weeks for duplicate)

nbstl SLP1 -modify_version -version 1 -rl 1,2

Modifying versions of SLPs

Modifying versions of SLPs can be a little tricky. There have been postings in this forum within recent months with good examples - try a search - you mind find what you need. Apologies - but on a mobile at moment.

Please confirm - are you

Please confirm - are you trying to update retention for new backups using this SLP, or modify existing, in process SLP duplications?
