SLP stopped writing to tape.

NBU 8.1, I have a SLP that first backups to disk, then duplicates to tape then replicates to disk. for past month it has stopped writing to tapes, I do a tpconfig -d on master and the 4 tape drives are showing up. I'm not seeing errors in problem log. not sure where to look next. I have full jobs on my disk that need to be copied and purged.

Are you saying that the (AIR?) replication step is happening, but not the duplication step?
Can you show us the SLP config?
 nbstl <slp_name> -all_versions -L

Do you see these 'incomplete' SLPs when you run 'nbstlutil stlilist -image_incomplete -U'  command?
If so, please show us output of these 2 commands for one of the images:
bpimagelist -backupid <backupid> -L
nbstlutil list -backupid <backupid> -U
