Hello All,
What is the advantage of SLP. Why we configure SLP in our environment. If we can do vauting then why we use SLP.
What is better SLP or vaulting ????????

There are pro's and cons both ways
SLPs are very efficient and flexible but do not perform eject and reporting operations
Vault cannot perform opt-duplication / AIR etc / Capacity management on disk etc.
So it really depends which features you have and need when deciding which is the most suitable
If you do not need specific tape eject and tape handling reporting operations then use SLPs as they will fit most peoples requirements - but bear in mind that to duplicate from disk using SLPs you will need to at least have Enterprise Disk in place
Hope this helps

Have you read relative sections in NetBackup Administrator's Guide?
Unlike Valut, you can configure varios duplication flow with SLP.
On the other hand, Vault is not a mere solution for duplication. With Vault, you can keep track of media sent to and go beck from vault.
I couldn't say which is better, it depends on your business requirement.
