SQL Backup Error on Windows 2012 server

stan4
Level 2

We are using Netbackup versions 7.5.0.6 for our master server and I've installed NBU7.5.0.6 x64 Win2012 Client on our Win 2012 R2 server. I've installed this numerous times on other 2012 servers and it all works except this server. Please advise. thanks

Look at this: http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/backup-issues-ms-sql you may have a similar issue. We would need the dbclient log to verify. You may not have  schedule defined or perhaps you cloned another policy to create the one you are using. While copying (cloning) a policy is supported in my experience when you do copy it introduces a random failure issue in other words 9 out of 10 time it is OK but you spend so much time running down the issue with #10 that it would have been better to just build from scratch anyway.

HMm I did create it from scratch.. Just in case. It's probably the compatibility issue.  I did not even think of it because all my other master servers are already 7.6.02 except this one.

I will upgrade my master and see how it goes.

Thanks

Remember to update client well after Master server upgrade.
