All,
I have an issue with SQL backups & probably restores as well. The behavior is as follows, parent job kicks off, there is almost a four(4) minute delay before the first child job kicks off, the child job completes, then the same behavior with the four minute delay. I found the folowing entry in the dbclient log:
16:04:46.623 [5160.7292] <2> logconnections: BPRD CONNECT FROM 10.1.101.52.1300 TO 10.1.100.59.13724
16:08:25.888 [8304.7272] <4> serverResponse: Not a candidate for alternate buffer method: shared memory is not in use.
I seen a setting in the admin guide for a NOSHM touch file, and wondering if using this will bypass the shared memory check?
This is a SQL 2005 cluster
NBU Version 6.5.6
If you have any insite on this issue I would appreciate any information tht you can provide.
Regards,
Steve
