One of my project members looking for a SQL DB license title to purchase and so he got below license name from Sales team. Now, he is asking me what does it exactly mean. Though I made a ticket to Licensing team, as we know it will take some time from them to repsond. So, giving those details with my assumptions to confirm to him.

VERITAS NETBACKUP CLIENT APPLICATION AND DATABASE PACK 7.7 WIN/LNX/SOLX64 1 SERVER TIER 2 STD LIC EXPRESS BAND S
I am inferring below points with this title:
VERITAS NETBACKUP CLIENT – a)I hope this license is intended to use on a physical server and also same applies on VM server. Confirm this.
b) Next thing is that the backups of this DBs run over SAN network (not LAN). So, I hope there is no different license required if DBs run over SAN or LAN. Confirm this.
APPLICATION AND DATABASE PACK 7.7 – a) What is this 7.7? Our Netbackup environment is running on 7.5 version. So, will this 7.7 should be 7.5 or 7.7 is just a highest version of license we get while procuring license. Need clarification.
b) Do we need to obtain 2 licenses for 2 DBs hosted on same physical server or 1 license is needed for a single server no matter how many DBs it will host? Need clarification
WIN/LNX/SOLX64 – Will work only on 64 bit machines of Windows. Is my assumption right? We are intented to use this license on Windows 2008 R2 machines. Need confirmation..
1 SERVER – a) Works on 1 server only. Is this right?
TIER 2 STD LIC – Works on a server which has 2 or 3 processor sockets. If the server is having more than 3 processor sockets, then Tier 3 Std License is needed. Is this assumption right?
EXPRESS BAND S – Finally, what this Express Band S mean?
