Hi All,
Some of our SQL/ Oracle Application backup streams are failing with error code 6 while writing on VTL. However when changing it to use same DataDomain as DDBoost disk, its woring fine.
Master Server : 7.6.0.1
Master Server OS : Win 2K8 R2
Error:
4/29/2016 7:30:51 PM - Error bptm(pid=8268) error requesting media, TpErrno = File name already exists
4/29/2016 7:30:51 PM - Warning bptm(pid=8268) media id D06674 load operation reported an error
4/29/2016 7:30:51 PM - current media D06674 complete, requesting next resource Any
I have seen this error with physical tape drives when needs cleaning or with bad media with error code 84 , but since the library is virtual should not be any cleaning issue. Any suggestion please....

Stop NBU - check in
netbackup/db/media/tpreq
Are there any files, if yes, delete them.
Check there are no outstanding reservation:
nbrbutil -dump (Look in MDS section at bottom of output).
