SQL Restore job not showing in Activity Monitor

Good day,

Me again with another problem I am unable to find a solution to...

I go through the whole move template proccess to restore a SQL DB, to the same server, with a different DB name. The job doesn't show up on my Activity Monitor, but please see log file attached.

Thank you in advance.

The log covers only one minute and has not yet failed.

How long since you have started the restore?
(I can only assume that we are on the same time zone in SA and that you started the restore about an hour ago...)
Any more log entries in dbclient in the meantime?

We see that dbbackex  process was started on the client.
Can you see this process in Task Manager?
Any old 'hanging dbbackex processes?

Next thing to check is bprd log on the master server.
(If the folder does not exist, create it, restart NBU and retry the restore.)
bprd log will show if restore request was received from the client and what happened next....

Yes, I can see the bddackup.exe proccess running.

This is the View Status screen on the SQL server.

The complete log file attached as well the one from bprd. You will see that I have tried about 4 times today, to do the restore.

Have you restarted NBU on the master server (bpdown / bpup) since creating bprd log?

It will only log user requests after a restart....

And please only increase logging level to 5 if you are planning to open a support call with Veritas.
Most of us trying to help here do not have time or tools to sift through level 5 logs...

Please look for dbbackex.exe processes in Windows Task Manager on the SQL server.
Kill all of them if there is no active backup or restore.

Hi,

All servers have been restarted, but still getting the same.

Would you recommend me rather to log a support call?

We can now see user request coming from ZALIOSRV40STS01 at 06:49. Unfortunately I do not have time today to sift through level 5 logs....
