Hi All,

I am newbie in using Netbackup. Now, i'm facing error code 6 for 6 days now. It says error bpbrm (pid=6040) from client: ERR-lock file /usr/openv/netbackup/logs/user_ops/logs/vxbsa..files.1.lock is unlocked. Abort backup. It never happens before. The one day before i got this error, i removed few old files in /root filesystem because it's already full. Here's the logs from /usr/openv/netbackup/logs/bhpdb:

Please check /usr/openv/netbackup/scripts/sapsld_online_backup.sh for name and location of the output file.

Copy this file to a .txt file and post here as File attachment.

How to check location of the output file? But here I have attached the script with name a.txt

According to your opening post the script is /usr/openv/netbackup/scripts/sapsld_online_backup.sh?

If a.txt is the same, then the output file can be seen in variable in the script:

br_out_file="/tmp/brarchive_out.${timeStamp}"

Yes, a.txt is the script /usr/openv/netbackup/scripts/sapsld_online_backup.sh. Btw, I have just got information that the Oracle has been upgraded to the latest version last week. Is it the cause why backup error? Pls advice

You need to tell us....

Confirm exact SAP, Oracle, Client OS, and NBU version on client, then check compatibility lists.

Check SAP/Oracle compatibility lists as well as NBU compatibility list:
