About the deduplication host supported platforms
The following is a list of the supported platforms for NetBackup Deduplication:
■ Solaris SPARC 10 x64
Solaris requires an encryption package (SUNWcry64). You must download and install the package. It is not part of the Solaris installation media, and Symantec cannot distribute the package.

Have you tried to locate the package on Sunsolve?

If I go to
http://www.sun.com/download/index.jsp?cat=Security&tab=3&subcat=Cryptography%20%26%20Encryption

will get exactly what you get here
http://alessiodini.wordpress.com/2009/02/11/installation-of-solaris-10-encryption-kit/
SUNWcry64 is NOT available on solaris 10  but it was existing on solaris 9 ...

a Sun doc seems to confirm
http://sunsolve.sun.com/search/document.do?assetkey=1-1-4838285-1

Will see if dedup works without or I will open a support case if they have hardcoded ....
