Hi
in the netbackup documentation its writen that the SYMCquiesce is required to make a quiesce of the linux filesystem before backup.
But in the open-vm-tools the sync quiesce driver is already enabled.
If i understand well when the snapshot is done the quiesce is already done by open-vm-tools.
Therefore why should i still use the SYMCquiesce utility?

Hi,
If the vmware-open-tools handle that, then you may not need to use SYMCquiesce. However, I suggest you test it first. Moreover, SYMCquiesce discontinued starting with NBU 8 AFAIK.
