Is there a way of installing the Authentication broker for NetBackup 7.7 on a server other than the master server, other than installing Opscenter?
Is there away of having a backup Authetication Broker?
Thanks for any help.

Are we talking NBAC or Enhanced Auditing ?
In NBAC authentication Bboker dont' need to be the master server, but in Enhanced Auditing it the only option.

Hi Nicolai,
Thanks for your reply not using Enhanced Auditing. I did read you can have multiple authenticatin brokers. Is that correct?

yes you can. See page 77->78 in the "NetBackup 8.0 Security and Encryption Guide."

We have switched from NBAC to enhanced auditing. In the near furture (after 8.1) NBAC will be replaced with RBAC.
You may consider not investing to much time in NBAC as it is flawed and difficult to debug and wait for NBU RBAC.
