@La3
I have moved your post to a new post from https://vox.veritas.com/t5/NetBackup/sg-driver-failed-to-Attache/m-p/469514

Please tell us about your situation?
Is this a new tape library and drives?
Please tell us all the steps that you have folliwed?

Hello,

The problem occurred after an SO update. When the update 11 was applied on Solaris 10, the library cannot be comunicate anymore. Only the drives can be show. In Netbackup the drives are in AVR mode. More information:

mxpio = disable.

scan -changer
************************************************************
*********************** SDT_CHANGER ************************
************************************************************

The command "cfgadm -al" cannot show the library.

The command "prtconf" shows:
                    medium-changer, instance #142

sg.install was unsuccessfully.

Can you post up the output of :

 cfgadm -al -o show_FCP_dev

cfgadm -al -o show_SCSI_dev
cfgadm: Configuration administration not supported

You clearly have a problem at OS-level. You may want to search Oracle support site for the error:
cfgadm: Configuration administration not supported

Which type of hba are you using for the library connection?
FC or SAS?
OS or 3rd-party drivers?

Some Solaris versions have issues with 6Gb SAS hba's.
