Shadow copy components completes with status 1

Shadow copy components completes with status 1. However, when backing up using multi-streaming it completes successfully. Need some help on this. Please find the logs below -

In order to troubleshoot this, we need more information.

What version of NetBackup are you running on your NetBackup master server?

What version of NetBackup are you running on your NetBackup media server?

What version of NetBackup are you running on the Windows client?

What version of Windows is the client running?

How do you have your backup policy configured?

You did apply the service packs to the Windows client, didn't you?

2003 SP0 will always fail with this error code with NBU 6.5

Thanks John for response, please find the requested info -

Netbackup Master and Media are one and the same and its running on 6.0 MP5. Client is a Windows 2003 Standard Edition with Service Pack 2 and running on 6.0 MP5.

Backup policy is configured to backup "All local drives"(hope you were looking for this).

Have you ensured that the "Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Provider" and "Volume Shadow Copy" services on the client are not in a "Disabled" state?  These services should be set to "Manual".

See Technote 300735 for details.

Also, check the Application Event Log on the client to see if VSS is posting any errors when NetBackup tries to backup the Shadow Copy Components.  Technote 303803 talks about this.

I had that problema a few weeks ago,

but was about baremetal restor.

Note. if there is any update downloaded and not installed, you will have some problems.

Try to update Windows or install the updates already downloaded and cancel the downloads of the new ones.

Hi

Please do the restore in the following way .

Do the restoration from client side .Dont do in from Java Console .

While doing the restoration please select overwiter existing file option s.

Your all the files will be restore properly .
