If I am on the front end of SharePoint I open backup, Archive, and restore and I can see the Microsoft SharePoint resources to backup.

when I click on restore I can see 2 fulls "26th, and 19th, and one diff which I ran on the 18th"

This should run every day.

What am I missing.  I have 4 other servers I need to get this working on, but heck his is a pain in the butt so far.

any help would be great.

I can look into that but it really isn't that much data.  also different server versions.

I have to agree about the pain.  It took us a while to get it rolling because there are many requirements that have to be followed absolutely.  We had group policies that had to adjusted and the next patch cycle broke them and it had to be done all over.

You likely have seen these technotes.  Go over them again, line by line and ensure everything is in place and nothing has changed.  You cannot deviate, you cannot shortcut, if you miss one item it won't work.

is the NetBackup Client service login account is configured to a domain account with SharePoint and local admin previlleges?

NathanNieman
Level 6

This is how it is setup on the servers.  I am guessing this might be a issue.

Yup, number 2 on the Configuration Checklist link posted above

2. The NetBackup Client service should be started by a Domain Account

I swear I did that.  I will go though everything again.  What is strange is it has worked 3 times in 3 different weeks.   I don't get it but hope this fixs the issue.  I will report back in the morning after the job finishes.
