If you happen to be using project controls to (fine) tune Solaris resources, in 6.5 say, for vnetd and bpcd (to override inadequate defaults) and you migrate to netbackup 7, beware.
These processes are managed differently and your project controls dont apply so those error 89s you thought you saw the back of will suddenly reappear. And lots of backups will simply fall over.
What a pity, I thought the upgrade was nigh on perfect.

...although it talkes about bptm in the title, there's some bpcd/vnetd info as well.
NetBackup 7.0 and Solaris 10 project resource allocation for bptm

I don't think this was a configuration that got a lot of attention. Even this TechNote is marked "info offered 'as-is.'" I think we consider this more a "Solaris thing" than a "NetBackup thing." (DISCLAIMER: I don't speak for Engineering/Developing and could be totally, totally wrong about this)
