Status Code 252 - Phase 1 Import

OS = WIN 2008 R2 Enterprise  x64 with SP1

NOT - I'm new to this process, but I've been asked to import images from 17 tapes.  These were originally written to about a year ago on a different NBU environment (Ie. master, media servers, storage, media pools etc).  I tested a import on one tape and got the following:

You need to move the tape out of the scratch pool first.  You cannot import a tape if the tape is in the scratch pool.

If you right click the media in the GUI, select change, you will see in the windows that you can change the volume pool.

Move it to any pool you like (apart from NONE) and then it should import fine.

In addition to Martins excellent post above I do see that the first entry is that the server is not active for tape

During the import process the GUI always defaults to the Master Server so ensure that you select a media server that has access to the tapes before clicking OK to start the import
