Symantec cloud storage option with CEPH

Would like to know how CEPH object based storage using RADOSGW can be configured as cloud target in netbackup 7.5.0.6 ?

RADOSGW is configured and works similar to amazon s3 (including authentication). Netbackup is failing to authenticate the RADOSGW.

I overwritten amazon.com with CEPH RADOSGW server and trying to add credentials, which is failing with below error.

# /usr/openv/volmgr/bin/tpconfig  -add -storage_server rgw.local.lan  -stype amazon_raw -sts_user_id 12345 -password 67890
Failed to open server connection to type amazon_raw server rgw.local.lan: Error = 2060001
one or more invalid arguments
Authorization failed for OpenStorage server rgw.local.lan

Apologies for missing your post....

I can honestly not see how you can get this to work, because this Cloud vendor is not supported. Another vendor's OST plugin will not work. Even though it's similar.

Please see the HCL: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH76495

Your Cloud vendor should enrol in Symantec STEP program for combatibility.

See this section in the HCL:

Qualified hardware listed in this document is tested through the Symantec Technology Enabled Program (STEP). If you would like to have hardware considered for inclusion on this HCL, please contact your hardware partner to ensure they are a member of STEP and have submitted a request to have their product qualified with NetBackup. Information on STEP is available at <http://www.symantec.com/partners/programs/technology-partners/step.jsp>
