Synthetic backup / schedules

I've gone through the 7.5 Admin guide - vol 1, but would like to get confirmation. For a successful synthetic backup policy, are these the 4 required schedules ?

- Differential Incremental backup (non-synthetic)

- Full backup (non-synthetic)

- Cumulative Incremental backup (synthetic enabled)

- Full backup (synthetic enabled)

I'm tyring to avoid having redundant schedules. Thank you in advance.

The synthetic cumulative incremental is not required.

You only need the cumulative if you are spacing out the fulls a long way (and the only reason you need that is that it saves time.)

i.e. you could schedule the following:

1st full backup needs to be a regular non-synthetic backup.

Subsequent incremental backups (non synthetic) run Monday through Friday).

Synth Full then runs every weekend to create a new full building off the previous full and the incremental backups.

Or

1st full backup needs to be a regular non-synthetic backup.

Subsequent incremental backups (non synthetic) run Monday through Friday).

Synth Cumulative  then runs every weekend based off the weeks incremental backups.

Synth Full runs once a month to create a new full backup based off the last cumulative incremental backup and the regular incremental backups since the last full.
