System state restore

When i perform a complete windows client restore, from where i have to initiate the restore process. i could see a some symantec docs says to initiate from client side but some are recomented to initiate from master.

Which is the correct method.

Well we do it always from the client because master server is off-limits because segregation of duties. That work also.

Be sure to do step 8 - it seems unimportant but it actual the most important one!

Do it from the Master - select the entire machine and remember to select to overwrite existing files

The restore will run and complete then you will need to reboot the client for it to actually take effect

The TN that you found is clear about this - start the restore from the Master.

NOTE: For this procedure to work, the restore must not be initiated from the Client.  Rather, initiate the restore from the Master Server or Remote Admin Console.
