TDPID Configuration

In TARA GUI from where does the application read the Teradata TDPID. 

 

e.g In my TARA Server Configuration i have selected the following

          Teradata System :      Developnment

           Display Name     :       Developnment

          Teradata TDPID  :        dev

 

How will the application know the configuration for TDPID dev. Can anyone help me out with the details from which file TARA comes to know the details of TDPID.

The TDPID is going to be used in the LOGON statement.  This can be a "COP" address (without the COP1), as you use in ODBC connections to your Teradata.  For example, to connect using SQL Assistant, via ODBC I specify "prodteracop1.mydomain.com".  For my TDPID in TARA, I specify "prodtera.mydomain.com".
