Tape Drive Firmware Level

We recently upgraded the firmware level of our Dell robotic tape library and its 6 x LTO3 SCSI tape drives. The updates were carried out through the tape library GUI and were all successful.

But in the NetBackup Admin Console the firmware level of the tape drives is still showing the older version. I have just read an article that says each of the tape drives should have been DOWN'D before we started the firmware upgrade and UP'D when complete.

Is there a way that I can get NetBackup to show the correct firmware levels in the console?

Regards, Colin.

Just discovered that I can use VMOPRCMD even after I upgraded the firmware. Just run vmoprcmd -downbyname and then vmoprcmd -upbyname. This shows the new firmware level after a refresh.

Cheers.
