Hi, our master server is NBU 5230 Appliance (version 2.6.0.3) which is also the only media server. There is one IBM tape library that directly connects to this appliance. We would like to grant operators access to OpsCenter 7.6.0.3 for them to monitor NetBackup status and perform some basic admin tasks.
My question is:
Is it possible to do tape library inventory in OpsCenter? If yes, how to do it? If no, is there any other way to do it? We do not want to use NetBackup Administration Console because NBAC is not supported in the appliance.
Thanks in advance.

No it's not possible - I've just checked.
You can use the vmupdate or vmphyinv command from the robot control host, from the command line.

I would suggest vmupdate command rather than vmphyinv.
vmphyinv performs a 'physical' inventory in the sense that each tape is loaded in a drive, internal label is read and NBU details updated.
vmupdate is the equivalent of GUI inventory:
vmupdate -rt <robot type> -rn <robot number> -rh <robot control host>
Both commands will need superuser or sudo rights.

Marianne, you are right and that's what I was thinking but wrote the wrong one - either will work though
