Tape drive performance slow on Windows 2003 Media Server

NBU 6.5.2, SF Win 5.1, LTO3 drives, doing a snapshot and then writing to a media server. Only getting 33mb/sec right now, but had somehow got it to do closer to 80 a month ago on the testing, but cant recall what change I made to do that.  Had to rebuild the server, but dont remember what I had to change to get it to do better. Modified buffers/qtys of course, but not sure what else to check.  The DMP stats are showing me reading the luns at 80-90mb/sec, but only writing less than half that speed.  Thoughts on what to check or what is going on? Thanks!

can be everywhere

tape drive -> internal buffer -> FC Interface -> HBA -> OS Drivers -> NBU Buffers

the first try can be with the buffers between the drive and the server, then check if you have any memory issues, try also reseting your HBA's.

If you do any further testing, several of us would be quite keen to know what values you settle on.
