Hello experts,
I have a windows client which was being backed up for more than 4 years, I see C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\Temp is occupying huge space.
Temp folder is holding about 70GB of space and there are files and folders dated from 2013.
Do we required this folder really ? what does happens if we delete the content of temp folder? Does this affects any restoration ?
The reason is windows team claiming that this folder is eating up the diskspace and they are running of the space.
Awaiting for you replies.
Cheers

Hello,
During a client backup, a Warning message may appear in the client bpbkar log file.
WRN - will not cleanup 'temp' directory, debug level(s) are too high
Please go through below link.

Or may be someone has done troublehsooting before, hence files are there in temp folder.

if no backup run on the client, it should be fairly safe to clear out the temp space.
You may also want to stop the Netbackup client services first, before cleaning the temp area.

Hello Nick,
No I see the client is listed in the backups, latest backups were taken yesterday ( incre)
There are few old files from 2013 in the temp folder, Is it good to remove them ?
