With SSO license, you can configure shared tape drives, then you can configure both NDMP storage unit and Media Manager storage unit with these drives.
Number of Shared Storage Option required is number of tape drives you are to share. That is, if you are to configure 4 tape drives as shared, you need 4 SSO licenses.

You can share tape drives between NDMP hosts and media servers. If using traditional licensing model, you need to purchase Shared Storage Option license for each tape drives you want to share.

Yes.
When configured from Device Configuration Wizard, both NDMP and Media Manager storage unit will be created. Use Media Manager storage unit for normal backups.
