Tried to start manual full backup, but not starting

I have created a policy name as test and created a pool name as test and assigned a tape (available) to the test pool. When I run the backup manually i'm getting Required media is in use (backupservername - hcart2-robot-tld-0), after some times it changes to Drivers are in use in storage unit.

Please show us output of :

nbrbutil -dump
(in ...Veritas\NetBackup\bin\admincmd)

Copy the 'MdsAllocation' section at the bottom of the output and post here.

Also show us output of 'vmoprcmd' on the master server.
(in ...Veritas\volmgr\bin)

bpstulist -L

and

bppllist "name of policy" -L

Assigned new volume to the policy, after assigning new volume the backup starts. 

The mistake which i did was, have assigned a volume with different retention.

You gave us very little information, you did not respond to requests for more info, then you come back more than a month later (when you have a new problem ) told us how you solved it (which would be obvious when looking at the output we asked for) and mark your own post as solution. This is not the way to operate if you are going to look for continuous assistance. Please work with us when we are trying to assist?
