Hi everybody....I hoper you are fine.

I copied a file into a Universal Share several times ...the file is allways the same.

This information shouldn´t be DEDUPLICATED?

In my case the number of containers GROWN and the space was increased every time that I copy the file.

MY QUESTION IS ...WHERE IS THE DEDUPLICATION???

Hi,

Login to the media server serving the universal share and identify the share name with "df -h" command. Then run the following:

/usr/openv/pdde/vpfs/bin/vpfs_metadump dedupe /mnt/vpfs_shares/e769/e769ae6b-cb66-5150-871a-b48c3be8a5d8

I did a test of MSDP Universal Shares. I injected files with the same content into MSDP shared through CIFS three times, but found that it didn't store deduplicated data as claimed in the official document. Why?
