Unable to change media owner

Moved to new discussion from Tapes with the same label

Ok, I have another problem. The delay was due to my master server not being active for tape or disk and that's normal. The thing is, if I select any other media server in the dropdown menu for "media owner" in the report settings, it gives me an error "Access to the client was not allowed". Why would it say that? We're talking about a tape, not a client...

If you are using Admin console on your PC, then please add this name to Server entries in Host Properties on the master and all media servers.

Any kind of 'instruction' to a media server starts with a connection request - similar to Client connection.

Please create bpcd log folder on the media server.

After next error message, open bpcd log on the media server to see what the issue is.

This is the result of the bpcd logging:

mext000-000135.mtq.min.intra is my PC. chopin-mtl is the master (in a cluster with chopin-qc, the virtual name is chopin).

Which name? Chopin and my own PC are already added. I will add chopin-mtl and try again.

Ok, it's working now. I had to add my PC to the list of servers for the media server I wanted to use to mount the tape. Thanks for the help :)
