Unable to delete the disk pool. Unable to process request because the server resources are busy. Disk pool cannot be deleted because Disk Volume (PureDiskVolume) contains images

Hello - I hope someone can help

We are using NetBackup 7.6.0.1 on Windows

We are moving our deduplication to other disks for better performance. We have two disk pools, all the images have been duplicated to tape. I have followed this technote:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH150431

and have got to the point to delete the disk pools. One disk pool was deleted without any issues however the second reports the following

"unable to delete the disk pool. Unable to process request because the server resources are busy. Disk pool cannot be deleted because Disk Volume (PureDiskVolume) contains images"

All images have been expired from the catalogue

I have run the gargage collection using the following technote

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH124914

But found for 7.6 it is different I ran this instead from this forum post: http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/garbage-data-integrity-check

C:\Program Files\VERITAS\pdde>Crcontrol.exe --processqueue

OK

C:\Program Files\VERITAS\pdde>Crcontrol.exe --processqueueinfo
Busy   : yes
Pending: no

C:\Program Files\VERITAS\pdde>Crcontrol.exe --dsstat 1

From the dedupe catalogue I have run

dir /b /s /a-d |findstr /vi “__” >c:\DEDUPE_IMAGES-< media server name >.txt

And I have found many orphand images

How can I remove these? - we nolonger need this storage we just want to remove this disk pool please!

Hope someone can help!

Thanks in advance

Hello - just to add we are starting again from scratch with new storage. Is it possible to remove the disk poll by the command line? - thanks

Delete all of the images by command line (i. e. rm rf *) if you are absolutely certain you do not need the images.

I found this old post in PureDisk forum but seems to be for NetBackup with MSDP.

Herewith TNs on how to remove MSDP pool:
