Any body facing such issue error code 4239 if yes what is the solution to resolved the issue.

hello,
how you selected the VM name in the policy ?
is that query based or manual selection?
in case of manual selection , did you browse the vm or just entered the name?
does it have successfull backups?
if yes most possibly VM is not currnetly avaliable or renamed... need to check with your Vmware team

The fact that if you rename a machine in VM and backup is not working anymore ... comeon ... that vm has an vm_id, other backup tools are not having this issue ....

try re-inventory the VM
