Need some help. Cannot connect to Master Server. Unable to retrieve
version of the server gordsnbmaster.
Check Registry. Al servers are listed.
Checked Ops Center. - Says Master Server is partially connected
Can ping and do nslookups just fine on master and 2 media servers
Checked DNS configurations. All are there in DNS
Windows Firewall Off on Master and 2 Medias
Don't know where to go.. This was prompted by trying to do a manual backup
on a client that blew me off saying it couldn't connect to one of the media
servers. It is also a storage unit and I was connected just fine.
Have looked all over Symantec Community and don't know where to start.
Reloaded Netbackup 7.5.0.5 on master and did a repair. No luck,
Any ideas?

Thanks for all the input, turned out that a registry setting was wrong. The Client_Port_Window option was set to 1024 1024 ab=nd should be set by default to 0 0. Tech Support found this as we made multiple changes to the registry.

Let me clarify. Actual issue you have is just to be unable to initiate manual backup from clients, and all otheractivity in NetBackup;e.g. scheduled backups and manually initiated backup on the master) works fine. Right?
If so, please paste error messages you got from bpbackup command. Output of following commands is also needed.
* bpclntcmd -self
* bpclntcmd -pn
* bpclntcmd -host <peer_host_name(master fot client, and vice versa)>
* bpclntcmd -ip <peer_IP_address(master fot client, and vice versa)>
Addibg to above, please review your network if the client have route to the master server.

In addition to above name resolution, verify that port 1556 (vnetd) is open in both directions.
Check that Master server is listed FIRST in registry Server list.
