Unknown Job State

I have a running job which suddenly turns into a job state unknown 

It's my first time to see this state the strange thing is that even though there is a red cross in the first column and the state is unknown but the counter  is still showing that the backup job is still running and writing but when I look through the properties to see the details it shows nothing

hi,

check if you are finding any log info in unified logs

/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/vxlogview –p 51216 –X “jobid=<jobid>”

Its Product ID of Netbackup from Symantec.

Symnatec has Product ID for each Product,  as you are looking for Netbackup logs you need to Provide the Netbackup Product ID.

If you can't remember the number, just use "-p NB" instead :)
