Updating Selection List of Policies

Hi All,

I am trying to run a script which changes the selection list in a policy but the scheduler is unable to detect the changes.

NBU Version: 6.5

Win2003 R2

Policy: MS-Windows

Selection list actually contains the folders in the name of dates, instead of backing up all of them un-necessary I have scheduled a script which changes the selection list in policy. But unfortunately the backup job runs with old selection list and when it is run manually then it picks up the changed selection list.

I have tried bprdreq -rereadconfig, nbpemreq -updatepolicies............ please suggest what else I can try to get the updation in the policy.

Using multi-streaming in policy causes master server to connect to the client

Please share details of your script? At least the command used for changing the Backup Selection.

Hopefully your master server is patched with a fairly recent version? (6.5.6 is the latest 6.5 patch). I have seen this type of problem with older versions of 6.5 patches (probably 6.5.2 or 6.5.3).

You also need to ensure that nobody has the GUI open in Policies section while you are updating via script or cmd.
